Children's Ministry at New Life
Kidz Zone!
We want our children to learn about God: that He is fun, creative, and loves them. Much of our children's value system is determined during their younger years. That is why we treat them as a ministry group, not a babysitting service. We teach the Bible in a fun and exciting way that encourages our children to live life to the full for God. Our goal is to make your children want to come to worship every week. All children’s teaching and volunteer staff has safety clearance documentation on file. New Life provides a safe and loving environment for your children.
Nursery - Staffed for Both Services
The nursery is for children ages birth through age 3. The children are cared for by our nursery coordinator (degree in early childhood education) and volunteer staff. Music, picture books, creative play and lots of hugs are shared each week. A changing table is also located in the nursery room for the convenience of our parents.
Kids’ Community for Children Age 4 through Grade 2 - 10:15am Service Only
At Kids’ Community the children – under the team leadership of our children’s nurture leader (degree in elementary education) – are introduced to worship, prayer, and the Bible.Age appropriate story-based lessons from the Bible and coloring pages and craft projects reinforce the day’s lesson.
Kids’ Crew for Grades 3-4-5 - 10:15am Service Only
Kids’ Crew is the place where children participate in a high energy, relational ministry geared toward deepening and strengthening the children’s faith. Life applications will help the children learn how put their faith into action in their everyday lives. It’s not all on Sunday! Several large group activities are held throughout the year for the children to get to know each other as well as have the opportunity to invite their friends to come and share in the fun! Kids’ Crew also offers small group gatherings each month. Nothing like sharing pizza and learning about Jesus with your friends!
Community Vacation Bible School
For one week each summer, New Life children come together under the tents at 127 Knoch Road, Saxonburg (God’s land and New Life’s future mission outpost church site) for Community Vacation Bible School! The evening begins with family dinner time. Sing and play, Bible time, craft time and small group time completes the evening. The children have the opportunity to confess Jesus Christ as his or her Lord and Savior and, with parental permission, be baptized.
