As we draw our 40 Days of Community to a close we focus on Worshiping Together!  Throughout the series we've reminded ourselves that God said it was not good for us to be alone, and that we're better together.  This is never truer than when it comes to worship.  While it's vital for us to worship God on our own every day, we were truly created to worship and praise God together.  When Jesus was asked, "What is the greatest commandment in the Law (of Moses)?"  He responded with this answer, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.  This is the first and greatest commandment."  Matthew 22:37-38 (NIV)

This command was so personal that in the original Hebrew and Greek in which it was recorded the "you" is singular. It wasn't "You all love..." but "You, as an individual, love..."  And yet, Jesus demonstrated how important corporate worship is to life, by attending worship at the synagogue or temple each Sabbath.  In fact, even when the Jewish religious leaders sought to arrest Him, Jesus joined in public, corporate worship!  As we gather in Jesus' name in LIFE groups, or on Sunday mornings to worship God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, we are, indeed, better together.  Through this week we will look at six ways we worship God together.  Today, I hope and pray each of us will experience worshiping God together.  Join us at New Life at 8:45 or 10:15 a.m. at the South Butler Primary School on Knoch Road in Saxonburg, or if you're reading this in another place, find a group of believers who love God and seek to glorify Him together through the truth of His word, and join them.  We ARE better together!

Let's pray:  Heavenly Father, thank You for being worthy of our worship and praise!  Fill us with Your Holy Spirit that we may glorify You individually and together.  This we pray in Jesus' name.  Amen.
